Over 870 people were tested during Saturday’s COVID-19 drive-through assessment, according to a news release from the Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department. Results are expected between five to seven days.

The department said 875 people were tested for the novel coronavirus Saturday at the Jackson Fairgrounds. The testing, which is being done by the health department and West Tennessee Healthcare, is free and open to anyone 16 years old or older and continues Sunday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jackson Fairgrounds. 800 S. Highland Ave.

COVID-19 tests are limited. Participants will be tested on a first come first serve basis. You do not have to be symptomatic to be tested.
